Spring is that wonderful time of year when anybody who’s anybody in the NetSuite community descends upon the west coast to learn all they can learn about what’s new with NetSuite. If you have already booked your flight for SuiteWorld, congratulations! However, there are still some businesses out there that do not see the value in SuiteWorld and do not plan to have any presence at the event. This group of companies does not know what they are missing and they are who this article is for.
What is NetSuite SuiteWorld?
SuiteWorld is a large networking event based around the NetSuite platform, that brings together NetSuite customers, partners, and NetSuite personal. The event only happens once a year and is the best single source of information on everything NetSuite for the year.
Who Should Go to NetSuite SuiteWorld
Any business has a moderate stake in the NetSuite platform should make attending SuiteWorld a priority. NetSuite has done a great job to make the event equally beneficial to both NetSuite users and partners. Users can send developers, analysts, administrators, and even C-suite staff themselves and could quickly expect a substantial ROI.
NetSuite partners have an incentive to have a presence at SuiteWorld as it will provide access to NetSuite users and other partners. Being present will allow them to show off the new solutions they have been working on, coordinate with other partners, and get user feedback in real-time.
Why Attend NetSuite SuiteWorld
I would agree, $1300 pass, plus a plane ticket, plus a hotel room can add up, and some executives may not see the need for such “unnecessary” expenses. So the best way to convince your company that the trip is necessary is to pitch the SuiteWorld trip as an investment, an investment with great potential for a significant return. Whether you’re selling NetSuite, developing for it, or using the product, NetSuite SuiteWorld has something for everybody. Now, there are plenty of reasons to attend SuiteWorld, but I have boiled them down into three reasons I see as the most important. If you know another reason, feel free to point it out in the comments!
1. Network With Experts!
Solution providers, developers, and IT administrators from all kinds of businesses will all be in the same place for four days. You can learn from the mistakes of other NetSuite users, speak to experts with years of NetSuite-Specific experience, find new solutions to old problems, and even find new customers/partners for your business. There will be plenty of opportunities to meet new influential people for your business. All you have to do is make the trip.
2. SuiteWorld Has the NetSuite Info!
With over 200 breakout sessions tackling a wide array of subjects, there is a lot you could learn at SuiteWorld. NetSuite is still a relatively small solution. Access to NetSuite experts isn’t as available as other SaaS apps, such as SalesForce. A chance to get access to this kind of information is a real value, especially considering how much that training would cost outside of SuiteWorld from third party vendors. NetSuite provides a list of breakout sessions every year. Circle a few that can help solve problems you’re currently dealing with and take that back to the team to look over!
3. SuiteWorld Brings The Experience
It may be hard to sell you on an experience with a blog post, but I am going to try. Recent SuiteWorld’s have been located in Vegas, a city with an aura of excitement all on its own. Aside from that, NetSuite usually spares no expense when it comes to entertainment. The itinerary of informative breakout sessions is balanced with exciting public speakers, sneak-peaks at new technology, a musical event of some kind, and keynotes from NetSuite and Oracle CEO’s.
NetSuite’s SuiteWorld is genuinely something that is more than the sum of its parts. It can bring people together that never would have been in the same room otherwise, get your team the answers it needs to move forward with critical projects, and inspire and motivate your team so they too can become more significant than the sum of their parts.
If you need more help in convincing the team to go to SuiteWorld this year, you can also use the SuiteWorld website to help you. Their website is bursting with information about the event and why it’s a good idea to attend. Also, near the bottom of the page, NetSuite has provided templates, depending on what type of business you’re in, to email to your team with a breakdown of costs and good reasons to attend the event tailored to your industry.
