Abstract

Tanner Pharma Group was chosen for a case study because their project showcase’s the benefits of customizing the NetSuite platform through scripting. NetSuite scripting language, “Suitescript,” was used effectively to tweak the capabilities of NetSuite to better fit Tanner’s needs in regards to their sales process. Through the use of “Suitelets,” eMerge developers were able to create custom applications inside of NetSuite’s core code and allow Tanner to be a more efficient company overall.

The Client

Tanner Pharma Group is a pharmaceuticals company that specializes in distributing medicine globally. Tanner believes that medicine should have no borders, so they spend their days trying to make sure access to powerful medicine is available in every corner of the world. Tanner’s Problem

Tanner has recently implemented NetSuite as their ERP and needed to customize two processes in order to accommodate their unique sales cycle and make life easier for their sales reps and customers.

• Quotes – Tanner needed to be able to select individual line items from multiple Quotes and add
  those items to a single Sales Order
• Invoices – Tanner needed to select invoices from existing Item Fulfillments and create a PDF that
  consolidates all of the selected invoices

eMerge’s Solutions

In order add line items from multiple quotes into a single sales order, eMerge determined that a Suitelet script was an ideal solution to the problem. eMerge developers created a custom application inside of NetSuite that would allow sales reps to select eligible line items from a number quotes and combine them into a new sales order record.

In order to consolidate invoices from existing fulfillment records, it was also determined that a Suitelet  was the most optimal solution. So eMerge developers created another custom application inside of NetSuite that allows Tanner users to select eligible invoices from fulfillment records and combine these invoices to create a consolidated invoice PDF for the the customer.

The Results

eMerge’s solutions to Tanners needs has streamlined Tanners sales and revenue cycle and made life easier on their reps and customers.
